1) Message Policy
⏳ 60-Second Ephemeral Messaging
ActsLala values the preciousness of the shared moment. Once the recipient reads your message, a 60-second countdown begins. At zero, the message disappears completely — erased from both the device and the server.
- Countdown starts on read: the instant the other person opens the message.
- Perfect erasure: deleted from device and server at 00:00.
- 1:1 display pause: if the other party Exits, the on-screen countdown freezes (tab-close alone: up to ~3 min). Server deletion still follows the 60-second TTL.
2) Privacy Policy
👤 Minimal Personal Data
Chat can start with a temporary nickname — no member account required for conversation. Recharge and member features require registration (email + PIN). Chat messages follow short TTL deletion; we do not keep message bodies as permanent records. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Chat without signup: join with a temporary nickname.
- Member data only when needed: contact + PIN for recharge and wallet.
- Hash fingerprint: used for integrity/abuse control, not long-term identity tracking.
3) Safety & Room Policy
🛡️ Secure Room Policy
The room destroys itself to protect you. Exiting incinerates the history immediately. If a participant does not enter within 20 minutes, or if the conversation stops for 3 minutes, the room self-purges. A 24-hour TTL design also clears residual traces automatically.
- Exit = instant burn: re-entry creates a fresh slate.
- Idle entry: auto-destroy if no participant enters (invite not opened) within 20 minutes.
- Paused chat: auto-destroy if conversation stops for 3 minutes.
- TTL safety: 24-hour automated cleanup of residual traces.

Technology
Privacy-Oriented Architecture
ActsLala is built so communication data is not kept longer than needed. Even if a server is compromised, identity protection remains a design goal through pseudonymization, ephemeral messaging, and minimized residual data.
- Ephemeral by default: controlled message lifetimes instead of permanent storage.
- Pseudonymization: reduce unnecessary exposure of personally identifiable information.
- Zero-out / relay design: limit residual data after the permitted lifecycle.
4) Global Access
🌍 Accessible Anywhere
ActsLala supports 117 languages (including Korean, English, and Japanese), enabling communication across borders. No app store is required — use it on the web or as a PWA. iPhone users can add it to the home screen for a native app-like experience.
- 117 languages: communicate globally without barriers.
- Web & PWA: install-like experience without App Store.
- iPhone tip: “Add to Home Screen” for a smooth launch.
5) Data Elimination Policy
Permanent deletion by design
“Data Elimination Policy: Permanent deletion”
ActsLala uses a multi-layered deletion architecture to minimize data retention and reduce digital trace exposure. Independent mechanisms ensure room and message data do not persist beyond their intended lifecycle.
- 60 seconds — message deletion: after the recipient reads, the message is erased from device and server.
- On-screen timer pause (1:1): if the other party leaves via Exit, the visible 60-second countdown freezes immediately. Closing a tab alone may take up to about 3 minutes before the roster updates and the display timer pauses. Server-side TTL and zero-out still run — pausing the display does not keep the message longer on the server.
- 3 minutes — room deletion after departure: after a participant has joined, if the last participant leaves (Exit) or is removed for inactivity (tab/app closed ~3 minutes), the room self-destructs 3 minutes after that departure. Re-entry to the same room is blocked; a new room opens. The same 3-minute clock also applies when there are no new messages (
lastActivity), including when only the owner remains silent. - 20 minutes — waiting link & nickname expiry: if no participant joins (invite link not opened) after the room is created, the invite link and waiting room are removed. Late clicks show “This chat room has been closed.”
- 1:1 unanswered streak: if one side sends 5 messages in a row with no reply from the other, the room ends with notice “Ending due to no reply from the participant.”
- 24 hours — residual trace cleanup: orphaned room artifacts (tombstones, idle bus/message files) are purged. Legally required communication metadata is retained separately; payment and member records are managed in dedicated stores and are not purged by this timer.
Final Note
“Ephemeral messages reveal the face of the heart.”
Your words, your moment — no data left behind.
